Have you tested it yet? I'm curious to know if you get a static charge build up on your grinder frame.  

I have not tested it yet but will today. There should be no charge on the frame since it's tied to the ground pin of the power cord.

I tested it today and it works great. I took the side shield off after using the belt grinder to tune up the fly cutter tool and there was no grinding dust inside.

I bought this multi function tester about six years ago. I haven't used it in a while but needed it recently to test a bunch of capacitors that I bought as a kit from Amazon. I looked high and low and couldn't find it so I gave up for that day. The next day I looked in the same places again but still not there. I finally found it sitting on top a box next to my work bench.  

I decided it was time to make an enclosure for it. It came with a 9V battery cable soldered to it but I wanted to power it with a power supply so I added a power jack to the enclosure. I can still power it with a battery if I need to use it remotely.

How well does it seem to work? Were you able to grade the assortment of caps you purchased?

I haven't gone through and tested the whole kit of capacitors yet. I needed a 2200uF cap to repair a board for my brother so I just tested that cap and it tested at twice the value it should have been. Then I realized I had swapped out the 8MHz crystal for a 16MHz crystal per mods I found for this tester. I guess I had not gotten around to updating the firmware on the board so that's next on the list of things to do to make this board more useful. The mods also make it more accurate and extend its range somewhat.

I have an ESR tester for caps so once I get the firmware updated I can compare the results with that.

I used to import and sell those testers. I found them to be fairly accurate. As far as ESR, I have a few ESR meters, no two agree, probably due to useing different frequencies for the tests.

I haven't spent much time in the shop recently. Busy with other stuff. This morning while I was consuming my morning beverage I decided to model some gauges to set the angle of the belt grinder table and to test the tool angles as I grind them. The text didn't come out very well but it's legible enough to read.

Friend is building a custom car, and adding newer safety features etc. One being three point retractable seat belts. He mounted the retractor such that the belt exits the rear door panel thru the old ashtray hole. So he needed a new escutcheon to fill the hole. The belt was biased  to one side of the escutcheon and rubbing. So I inserted a steel wear bar to save both the filler and belt.

Made a speed wrench for the mill vise. Seems to work fine.
