Some more cellulose.
Built these for some one. The barrel for the coffee table was disassembled (rather violently, when I cut the bands there was considerable tension release lol) Then sanded inside and out and reassembled. The top and cradle are Butternut, now an endangered tree. The barrel for the end tables was sandblasted, inside and out after cutting it in two. Gave a gorgeous surface finish in the white oak. The tops and legs were again Butternut.
Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.

I finally finished up the carriage lock for the lathe. I used two pieces of brass for the nut instead of milling it from a thicker piece, which I didn't have. It appears to work well. I'll find out for sure when I actually use it on a project, but its got to work better than using the half nuts as a carriage lock.
