Every posting, no matter how trivial, was a solution to a problem with a project U accomplished well. By tackling that specific problem and achieving what U originally set out to do is the sweet satisfaction of success which U shared. Makes one eager to tackle and undertake bigger problems in the knowledge that U have the ability and can do something to put it aright.
Mike similarly showed a small post box cover he initially resolved and then his other much, much more complicating technicalities. Each has its place here and I don't think we should be embarrassed about it, although I do know the pros abounding here would see our work as kinder garden stuff in comparison.
But we all started out somewhere whilst they may have been in this business for donkeys years. So whose to blame.
So really it is "Metal working FUN" at the end of the day.
And we enjoy it all.

Absolutely. I love looking at all projects and they are all a solution to an existing problem or issue. It is neat to see how each person approaches an issue diferently, or similarly.
And beleive me, I am no professional machinist, I am a mechanic who learned how to machine, weld and fabricate.
Ok starting to learn a few names .. and put a few faces together . Hey Ed nice Job on those compressor wheels . Mike nice Job on the auto Draw bar . I saw u last night On U-tube .Yure famous now bro... Stayed up till 2:30am and watched allot of tool changer Auto drawbar stuff Mods .. Than got me thinking hey I need me one of those > saw some folks use power drill motor . Went out in garage and realized dang not too long ago threw away and old electric screw gun O well. Than I found a nice Air Screw driver with F/ R Trigger it even has the feature when u press down it activates the arbor
. Than I said Naaa if I start on that Project ill be consumed . I have lots more import things to get straight in Garage

Thinking out loud here Correct me if im wrong an air activated PDB without a break Is that possible ?
anyways Im not in a hurry with my little toy Mill (PM25 MV) you would have to hold tool and collet at same time while activation PDB with a simple design F/R push down .. if so not sure would even be worth it for the convenience. U would have to have arbor loaded Tools else hold a spindle wrench at same time too right?

Well its back to Garage I have a dilemma need to organize make more room. After Moving the drill press to other side .Thought I can put the mill in its spot but isn't gona cut it. .Its the Beer bait fish fridge or shelves that got to go ..
Sooooooo working this out, Took shelves down now need to disassemble this old heap apart . Need to fit 3 more bench machines on a new shelve system to save some room. a grinder a disc sander and a Belt sander Ok thanks Guys for the idea hows im gona do this ?????

Btw still not sure who's the fella that said "ya can square dance in that there Garage" with all that room " hence everything was out in driveway as I was painting the floor ...well back 2 work

Interesting way to go about it Mayhem . I am going to mod my draw bar to accommodate an 11/16 extended nut . Prob going to wait till Monday ,weld it on shaft. However I was wondering does anyone know if I used silver solder ( Braze) and did it that way at home do you think it would hold up as well?
I have my hands full already to get garage in order. Was hoping some one read about my Idea of the tear bench wrack for bench machines. Last night did make some grounds with 2 options , still not sure which route to take . Build a 5 tier shelf (rack bench). ALL MAHINES NEED TO BE ACCESABLE Or I can take existing grind bench work out functional layout of 5 bench machines (2 shelves 2 machines on each) Mount belt sander on side . And build two shelves over existing bench using the shelving material listed above. Still have a rolling 3 shelf wrack available for stock. Thanks for any ideas .

Kenny. are you just putting everything against walls? Depending on the size of your garage you may be able to put things more centered there. If you need power, power it from above.
