Ed, that is a completely different web site to the one I was looking at. I received an email from Sara with some information but they are not really forthcoming with pricing. She sent pictures/info on several rotary table and dividing heads but when I asked for pricing, the response was please choose as we have many. I don't know about you guys but the price is one of the things that influences my decision to but. Guess I will have to list all of them and ask for a quote that way!

I found their pricing quite fair and if you include items with a machine they don't show on the invoice other than accessories and there is no extra shipping cost but you have to ask a few questions as they are not really set up as an accessory store but source the items you want. Everything I bought was about 30% better than the best I could get here, their 10 inch rotary table I thought was a little high,I said so and the price dropped about $50.00. I would probably not purchase accessories unless I were also buying a machine. tom

Thanks Tom - I'm not looking to buy a machine, as I have what I need. What I am interested in is the heavier accessories that are not feasible to ship from the US. The prices here are ludicrous on some items, so I want to see what I can get them for.

If you were to put together a large enough order for ocean shipping it would probably be advisable say like a group order of rotary tables and other accessorieslike 10 each of several items enough to make a skid or more then I am sure you could get very good pricing + shipping but don't know what you country's duty and taxes are. Here in canada most of these items are duty free and only subject to our 5% Goods + Service Tax. tom

Pick out a couple of rotary table models that interest you and ask Sarah to send you a quote on them. I've found Sarah to be very responsive but you have to be fairly specific with your request. As Tom already indicated, Timeway does not make the accessories so they have to get pricing from the manufacturer and the more specific you are the better results you'll get. You definitely need lots of patience when dealing with Chinese manufacturers.

Thought I'd revive this post, as a shipment from tools4cheap was waiting for me when I arrived home. In it were the following items:

a set of 1/8" parallels (10 pairs - 1/2" to 1-5/8")
a pair of 1-2-3 blocks (like all good ones the through holes are undersized)
a 3/8 x .200 edge finder
a 3/16" - 3/4" keyless chuck
2x 400 series style 1 tool holders
2x 400 series style 2 tool holders

   

The last three items listed are actually for my lathe but I figured that you wouldn't care if they were included here. In fact, I do have one of those chucks on a NMTB30 arbour for the mill and my friend has the 5/8" one on his lathe. I am very impressed with the quality and the price $37 with the arbour, that I decided to buy one for the lathe.

The edge finder is made by Fisher Machine. I have their Pee-Dee thread wires and was impressed by the quality and service when I bought those (not everyone is willing to ship to Australia). The fact that Jeff offers their products makes it a no brainier to buy and add to the one shipment. There is a small flat on the tip, which provides an audible click. I'll be interested to see how I go using it given that my eyesight is much better than my hearing!

I have that same edge finder and the click is not very loud. I think you need to spin it at a good speed to get the click to be useful. I normally don't spin edge finders very fast. Maybe that's my problem.

There is no thread on the end of the MT3 arbour Dave but that chuck will be used in the tailstock on my lathe. The NMBT30 arbour I have for use in my mill has a drawbar thread on it.

Ed - the max RPM is listed as 1500 for that size edge finder on the Fisher web site, so I'll make sure I stay below that. I'll probably just look for the kick.
