All of the parts have arrived for the bearing replacement. I ended up getting new bearings for the intermediate shaft also, since they were cheap enough even from McMaster.
Not sure when I'm going to tackle it. I want to finish the project I'm working on before I take that on.

The kit from Micro Mark for removing the bearings doesn't have any provision for removing the bearing off of the spindle. I'm a bit disappointed about that.  Bash

You aren't going to reuse that bearing anyway so just put the outer race in your vice and tap out the spindle with a soft face hammer. Screw the lock nuts back on the spindle first to save the threads in case of an errant hammer swing though. If I remember correctly my original bearings weren't that tight of a fit on mine which was part of the problem in the first place.

I'm sure glad I didn't throw away the serrated jaws for my bench vise like I was going to do the other day. They came in handy for this. I at least got it started coming off using the vise as you suggested but then no more progress. So I set it back up in my original configuration and started beating on it and its' coming but very slowly. I aborted and I'll wait for the bearing remover that will be here from Amazon tomorrow morning.

Yeah you need good solid support under the bearing for it to work well. The wood and cardboard have too much "give" and you loose energy from the hammer blows. Even my bench vice has failed me a couple of times because it is bolted to a wooden bench. Using steel supports on my basement concrete floor goes a lot easier, but we have to work with what we have on hand I know. What type of bearing puller did you order?

I went back and worked at it some more last night. I was determined to get that sucker off. Success!  Smiley-dancenana

I tried to cancel the Amazon order for the bearing puller but was too late so it arrived this morning. I'll be sending it back.
