It was cold out in the garage today so I got a heater to help take the chill out of the air. I got the cherry picker up into the garage and all assembled so it's ready to do its job. I think I have a plan for getting the head off. It's supposed to be in the 30s F tomorrow so it will be more tolerable than it was today. Hopefully I'll get the head and ram off tomorrow without incident.

Set up the way you have it in the last photo Ed, with the head sitting on the table. You should be able to hook up the hoist to stabilize it and retract the arm on the column till the studs are clear.
Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.
