I have made a micro small ball turning head for the lathe, does anyone have a simple COC for tool geometry? and while your at it whats the secret of getting the diameter precise.

Anthony.

The way I set my ball turner to cut a specific diameter is to make sure that you are measuring from the center of the pivot point of the ball turner. I use gauge blocks on a surface plate to set the tool.
