Ball turner tool geometry - ieezitin - 11-09-2015

I have made a micro small ball turning head for the lathe, does anyone have a simple COC for tool geometry? and while your at it whats the secret of getting the diameter precise.

Anthony.

Thanks...

Forgive my ignorance but what does "COC" mean? 17428

Oh, COC. That's how I design everything.

The way I set my ball turner to cut a specific diameter is to make sure that you are measuring from the center of the pivot point of the ball turner. I use gauge blocks on a surface plate to set the tool.
