I only recalled as I was doing a search on 4140 a couple of weeks ago when it was recommended as the go to material for my drawbars. I'm hoping to progress some more on those this weekend.
I did cut one of the lengths of 12.7 ground and faced it and it cut very nicely. I'm looking forward to cutting some threads in it.
