The finished crank, pinned and the centre cut out. tested between centres the run out at the main bearing position is . .01 mm

Moved on today by getting the piston done
drilled the wrist pin hole . Turned the skirt to shape, Then milled the clearance for the small end, Other work done includes main bearing retainers and shaft for the intermediate timing gear. Put it together and it turns over nicely. Now its the cam and valve gear to do. Brian.

Excellent progress Brian. Two piece cranks can be scary but it's nice when they run true.

So its on to the cam. the blank was turned between centres so I can return later to machine the ends but for the moment it requires all of its strength on the mill.
At the mill its remove the 240° from the base circle and we have a camshaft Hooray. Brian.

More photo's of the cam sub assy in the rough, 2 dip feed oilers will be mounted on the flat plate behind the cam to lube the big end and the cylinder.
Having to limit shop time, it's just to cold for my brain to work after a while. Brian.

Another short day in the shop, just dug out the shaft clearance and the two pits to hold the cam lubricating felts.
then on to the CAD to try an figure how to make simple a carburettor for propane. Rain forecast for the next 10 days. the Mediterranean winter. wet--wet--wet. Plodding on, Brian.
