Here is my next project - a wood/log store.
Mostly made from timber but the bracing at the back is steel

   
I should have mentioned it will be 2m long x 2m high x 1m deep barring any accidents.

What CAD program did you use to draw that? SketchUp?

A friend has two smaller ones that he puts on the veranda in the spring and fall. Nice clean way to stack wood.
On your design, if you move the side slats to the inside of the vertical supports the fasteners won't be holding all the load.

That's true, it just don't look so nice

My wood working skills are limited to the "Two S's" Saw and Screw ........the sketch is just the starting point, the chances of it ending up anything like the sketch are somewhat remote

Finished both sides and given it a coat of wood preservative.
And just to note the sides are upside down.
