Here is my Elliott Rapidmil, it has a hoist mounted on top to aid my ailing back, the heavy stuff goes on the table to the right....[attachment=11691]

Thanks for posting Chris and welcome.
Looks almost identical to my Victoria U2, with a few improvements. The arrangement for the power feed selection is different, does your mill have separate drive shafts for the X feed and the Y/Z feed? I need to pretty much completely rebuild the power feed system on my machine. Also, does that vertical attachment have a quill?

It certainly is a solid beast, all slides x,y,z, are power fed, but the head hasn't got a moveable quill though, shame really as it would be handy for some of the jobs I've tackled...

I made a base frame for it with levelling screws, that has helped solve a few problems setting work up level or at a required angle...

Then made a tram, really surprised me how far out the head was as used, but only in the swing plane, no for and aft error, if there had been I'd have drilled and tapped the adapter flange, to jack out whichever way to correct...

Must wash her headscarf though....

Here's a pic of one of my Haas MiniMills. I chose them as they can be wired single phase or 3 phase. Been running them on single phase for 13 years with no problems.

Nice machine! What spindle adaptation (toolholder standard) does the Mini Mill use and what is the max spindle speed on it? What coolant do you use?

Please, please let it be a MT3 spindle, with a top speed of 500 rpm and no coolant capabilities, as that will take the edge off of the mill envy that I (and most others on here) have right about now

Seriously, that is a nice mill and now Russ isn't the only one running a Haas.

The Haas MiniMills uses a Cat 40 toolholder. 
One of my mills is 2001 & the other is 2005. Both have 6000 rpm spindles. Travel 12" in Y and 16" in X.
I use QualChem XtremCut 251C coolant. Works well for 300 series stainless and 6061 aluminum.
I program with FeatureCam.
I am in no way affiliated with Haas. I am just a happy customer of theirs.
