That day was crazy I was only looking for some 5c collets
and like a kick in the butt here is this lathe .
believe me when I tell you I wasted no time paying the man and moving this one home.
I rented a fork lift and drove it down a two lane highway to pull off the move, my buddy said I was crazy and I'm cool with that.
what would the cops do anyway take me to jail
When something like this deal happens you stop at nothing a get it done. ( no guts no glory)

I have moved all of my machines myself.
I work as a Journeyman Mechanic for a mine.
These moves are small compared to some I have done.
The forklift on the highway thing was funny ,you just have to want something really bad as I said (No Guts No Glory)

Well I have a bunch of old lathes, one that stretches the modern definition is this one

   

It's a threading lathe from around 1872-1888 new stuff the those English blokes!

between me and the previous owner we have 50 years of ownership, not sure about the other 100 or so years. If you didn't have steam or a water wheel this would be your baby! You want a work out? forge some bolts and thread them!
