I finally pulled the trigger on a mill. I just ordered a Precision Matthews PM-25MV bench top mill. It's back ordered and scheduled to arrive at PM sometime in March or April.

Those machines have come a long way from the machines of old. Nice to see the 'upgrades' (variable speed & readout) come as standard equipment now.

My only concern is the 2" spindle travel. But I'm sure I'll find ways to work with it, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. Chin
In the mean time I'll be acquiring tooling so I can hit the ground running when it arrives.

Are you getting the stand too?

No, I'm going to get another one of these benches that I got for my lathe. The top height is adjustable from 28.5" to 42". It can handle 1500lbs so it's a bit overkill but it's a really nice bench, although it is a bit pricey.

Very nice Ed. When it comes to stands for machines, I don't think there is such a thing as overkill.

Details man... details!

I'm sure I'll be sorry for asking considering what I spent on a Tormek workstation recently, but that looks like a great adjustable table.
