Mill Headed My Way Soon - EdK - 02-25-2022 I finally pulled the trigger on a mill. I just ordered a Precision Matthews PM-25MV bench top mill. It's back ordered and scheduled to arrive at PM sometime in March or April. Here are some of the specs. Nice to see the 'upgrades' (variable speed & readout) come as standard equipment now. RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - EdK - 02-25-2022 My only concern is the 2" spindle travel. But I'm sure I'll find ways to work with it, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. In the mean time I'll be acquiring tooling so I can hit the ground running when it arrives. Ed RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - Vinny - 02-26-2022 Are you getting the stand too? RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - EdK - 02-26-2022 (02-26-2022, 01:09 PM)Vinny Wrote: Are you getting the stand too? No, I'm going to get another one of these benches that I got for my lathe. The top height is adjustable from 28.5" to 42". It can handle 1500lbs so it's a bit overkill but it's a really nice bench, although it is a bit pricey. Ed [attachment=17772] RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - Vinny - 02-26-2022 Nice horizontal surface! RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - Mayhem - 02-26-2022 Very nice Ed. When it comes to stands for machines, I don't think there is such a thing as overkill. RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - rleete - 02-27-2022 What? Not a single from anyone? I'm sure I'll be sorry for asking considering what I spent on a Tormek workstation recently, but that looks like a great adjustable table. Oh, and I guess RE: Mill Headed My Way Soon - EdK - 02-27-2022 (02-27-2022, 01:07 PM)Highpower Wrote: Details man... details! If you insist. Bought it from Amazon. Work Bench Ed |
