The base is only 6 inches thick Stan, with 2 rebar running down them, then the 6 x 6 top with another run of rebar. Will let it float on the ground, thats one of the beauties of timber frame, they can flex if they have to.

Picked up the steel for the roof from the Amish this morning. Nice dealing with them, no waiting, cut to length and load on the trailer.
Managed to get it all on this aft before the heavy rains they're forecasting.

Always wanted to build a round window, figured this was the time. Looks small on the empty wall, its 4 feet in diameter.
