Lots of great design features in that already Rob. One of these has been on my project list for years, without so much as a pencil sketch to show for it yet, so I'll be looking to see how many ideas I can steal from yours Big Grin
And I'm sure you'll have no trouble making the finished product look as good as the CAD.

I rather like that Rob, have you thought about making a triskellion for the front section with three different sizes of roller for concave radii?

Thanks Pete  Smile

I too have been thinking about this project for some years now , this year it will be done  Big Grin ,maybe it may inspire you to make a start .

Cheers Dave , yes and many more attachments , building this machine means I will not need a large grinder , I will be able to do away with my polishing machine and the 12" disc sander as I will be making those attachments for this , also a small wheel attachment and a pipe coping doodad .

Got a wee bit more design work done tonight , just about done with the flat platen .

been attempting to make mounts for one of the tube scopes.

this is the front mount. this style mount puts the scope off to either the left or right of the barrel depending on the shooter.

Picked up a LED bulb that fit a quartz flood light fixture, its been sitting for years in the shop. The other day I ran across a POS daily indicator holder I'd picked up at Princess auto, so its the real high end Chinese stuff. The two mated into a mag base work light.

Been doing a bit more with lamps, this is for something that can go into production.  Here's the lamp portion.  It measures 2.5" long and 2" dia.  The dimensions were only included for the Chinese so when they steal this one they can get it right, unlike last time.

I don't have the lens pushed fully on 'cuze I'd like to get it back off of there again!

And this is the lamp about a foot or two away from the mill vise
[Image: lamp6.jpg]

The color is only the base color of the plastic.  With the colors I have on hand I can do gray, black, red and for Dave, pink!  The base will be magnetic so it can be stuck to a machine, color matched, of course.
