Now it's time for my "Dumb Question". More like a dumb comment, but if you thread away from the shoulder, won't you have left handed threads? Even with the tool upside down, it seems the thread pitch would be left handed.

Whilst this uses lay down inserts as the example, it is the same as when using HSS or other insert configurations.
