hi all this is a haw to on making a lens for a dti my way this dti belongs to john bubelboost i picked this up from his on Saturday in all the dti is in good order it just needed a new lens the first thing i did was to brush the Daile to remove as much of the loos muck as possible then i cleaned the lens with Cotton buds and spit DO NOT USE ANY KEMIKEL CLEANERS EVEN SOAPY WATER CAN REMOVE THE PRINT the next thing Wat to make the lens i used acrylic for this i needed something to form the dome for the lens this was dun by the use of a spray can and a mini jam jar i warmed up the plastic till it became soft then plats it over the end of the spray can then with the jam jar preset on to the plastic once formed i ruffly cut the shape out then curved bothe faces with tape then started to shape the new lens to fit i removed the Bessel from the dti as to ad the fitting of the lens to do this i had to remove the retaining ring at the back of the clock to do this their is a noch cut out of the Bessel on the back where you put a pin in and lift out the clip once all was dun refitted the Bessel and gave the new lens a polish right pics
