Yup, I've had the same experience with LMS. Class act which is getting rarer and rarer these days.

The chuck arrived. It looks to be very well made. Time will tell.
The first thing to go will be that stupid spring on the chuck key. Chin

They do appear to be well made. No machining marks, even finish and silky smooth operation. Any yet they are so poorly packaged, I'm surprised it wasn't all dinged up. Styrofoam liner is only about 1/8" thick.

And I removed the spring off the key before I even opened the rest of the package.
Full of ideas, but slow to produce parts

I won't get around to doing anything with it until a few days.

If it makes you feel any better, I've had one for about a year and a half now and still haven't done anything with it. I don't even think I ever got a backing plate for it! Blush

Ordered this light from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BLJMB14P?psc...ct_details

I got it today.  Plenty bright enough for me.  The flexible neck is long enough for mounting to the side of the mill column and will reach both the mill and the lathe.  The magnet in the base is quite strong and holds the lamp securely.  Cord is long enough, but I wish the switch (inline) was closer to the lamp, as it leaves more hanging out on the bench.  If that's my biggest complaint, I will learn to live with it.  I may mount it to the back of the column with those zip tie holders, to keep it handy.

I bought a set of remote switches so I can control the machine lights and wall mounted shop vac from wherever I happen to be standing. Very nice to be able to control the vacuum from the business end of the 25 foot hose instead of at the canister end.

Been wanting to make one of these for a while. It was Little Machine Shop's weekly special at $10 off so I bit the bullet and bought one.
It looks used, beat up and filthy. I cleaned it up and it's functional so I'll live with it.
