Lubricants for Milling Machines

Truth is Steve, none of us are qualified to speak on this, my former point was that the people usually specifying the lubes are often not really properly qualified either, using a best guess in many cases Big Grin which is fine as long as there is sufficient lube on the bits that rub together all will probably be ok.

chainsaw bar oil should make an excellent way lube if used sparingly, it really sticks to the metal and is also very water resistant and should not be washed away by soluble oile cutting fluids. I have som high dollar compressor oil that I got in the bottom of a drum from
the refinery my nrphew works at, it is synthetic but quite thick, I am presently trying it on my RF45 Clone. tom
