I do the same. Anything related to the project goes into the box until I'm ready to start the project.

For me the problem would be finding big enough boxes and where to store them all.

Finished (re)painting pieces for my SWAG press brake kit. I had cut a few pieces of different size angle iron to use for smaller dies for the brake. Had them all painted up and dry and then tried stacking them together. The sharp outside corner of each piece of angle bottomed out in the larger angle below it, and caused them to rock in the center.   Bash
So I had to mill off the corners of all the angles to get the legs to sit flat against each other - and then repaint the bottoms.   I had to mill the bottom die too before welding the base together, but then forgot to do the smaller dies.  Slaphead

   

   

Also finished getting my lathe tool holder rack together and attached to the back of the lathe. I still have few more BXA holders to put on the upper rail. The lower rail holds the AXA's. They sit at a 45° angle so it's real easy to get them on and off of the holding brackets. I love not having all of them piled on top of the head stock any more.   Smiley-dancenana

I still want to make a block to put on the rack for holding the QC tool posts themselves. Right now the BXA sits on a shelf several feet away from the lathe. I'd like to be able to slide them on and off of the rack as well when I need to change sizes.

I have barely found time to set foot in my workshop over the past few weeks but today I finished take 2 of the replacement for one of the shafts for the power feed drive on my mill.
I have posted about this part previously, most recently about advice on how I made such a mess of cutting a keyway. I wasn't happy with the results of my first attempt so started again and here is the result

   

Much happier with this version. The collar is to take the place of a flange that is incorporated into the original part, I had discussed welding this in place but after some consideration I realised that the machine would have to be extensively dismantled to install the shaft if this flange was fixed in place, so instead it will be a separate collar with grub screws to retain it.
Shaft is 4140, collar is unknown horrible gummy rubbish steel.

Today I unloaded a fair load of box section.  The bulk of it was 50mm x 50mm x 3mm in 2400mm lengths (24 all up). There were some smaller lengths as well as a few different sizes, as well as a couple of lengths of pipe.  The best part was that it was FREE Big Grin

   
   

A friend of mine works for a lubrication company and the box section is used when shipping the bladders of oil out of Singapore. Once they unpack them, the box section is unwanted crap that takes up space.  They get shipments all the time...

spent the better part of 3 hours putting the ejector in

now if the reamer will just show up before Christmas still looking at 4 to 6 weeks on it to show up.
