Good feeling looking at it done alright, but the sore back and arms while Im getting back in shape after a soft winter in the shop isn't so nice. Was slow drying up this year, looks like I'll be working with black flies, Had it all done this time last year.

Greg, i hear ya about being sore, but a nice feeling just the same.
What i did a couple of times if the spring was late comming, and would end up cutting in fly season, is i would get up early, get into the bush, cut and split untill only 9:00am, then quit.
That worked great for me, no bugs untill around 8:45- 9:00am .
(By that time i was ready for a BIG breakfast!!) Lol

Sounds like a good plan BUT I don't do mornings. The early bird may get the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Flies are a small price to pay for a good morning in bed.
