Nice job on the base casting. Seeing it sitting on your mill table definitely shows how big it really is.
Will the cylinder be aluminum or bronze?

Hi
Tom
The cylinder will be cast in bronze
I was going to use aluminium with a cast liner , but then you need a steel port face as well
Doing a propper job in bronze

I was looking at your build and from what I see the cylinder is a little bit high compared to the sliding guides? I just love the size. H U G E

Hi
Nelson
The cylinder mounting pad can be reduced in height as can the cylinder face
Once i get the cylinder cast & machined up i will get a better idea
I was looking at 1/2 inch key steel for the cross head guide
Thanks for your comments
