I've been looking at the metalpro 4000 and 4500 as a possible option for doing this. I would be needing to make approximately a couple hundred brackets per month. My question is, Is this the right machine for the job??  I'm pretty new to this so I'm wondering if there are other/better options?? Possibly cheaper??? Thanks

Brett,

Below is a photo of a metal bender project of mine which may easily be ratcheted up by what factor you require.

Ultimately it will be the radius of the curve needed that will determine the required power of the bender to accomplish the task in a short time. Long radius (gentle curve)=shorter time to bend to radius.

By the way this bender will bend even 1/4" steel, it just won't bend right angles or anything near that the bearing and shafts would need to be larger and the larger it is the longer the radius will have to be. :)
