Do I understand correctly, that the press and dies are designed to resize straight wall cases by driving them completely through the die ?

Mike,
Tarcisio included a Facebook link (post #7) to his video showing the press in operation. I've never seen anything like it before. He isn't resizing straight wall cases per se, but rather resizing tapered cases and turning them into (rimless) straight wall cases from what I can tell.

Hi Willie,
Neither my Wife or I are on Facebook, but I'll ask my Niece to bring it up for me on her phone when she comes over; Thanks, it should be an interesting video to watch as I've tinkered with a few wildcats in the past. Mike

What kind of life span do you get out of these calibrated cases? Are they 9×19mm Parabellum? This mode is to calibrate the final part of the cartridge, because with the time of use this part is expanding; The ideal is every 5 shots to pass all the cartridges in this machine so did not expand; We have a useful life of about 30 to 40 shots for each cartridge, but it depends on many factors, it is very difficult to achieve this.

Yes there are many factors indeed. Annealing cases will increase their useful life, as will loads of moderate power using the slower burning powders, which can reduce stretching that results in head separation; also many self loading firearms can be brutal on ejected cases, rims being distorted and mouths dented, so thirty to forty is quite an achievement, your chamber must be of a very close tolerance.
