HOW TO BALANCE CONTACT WHEELS
#1
Hi Guys
Guess somebody here must have experience with this.
Need to Balance a couple of Rubber Contact Wheels with the Largest at 14" ie. 350 mm in diameter.
Have a general idea, but need to verify the correct manner
Would appreciate any or some specific inputs
TIA

Have a look at this video. Start at eleven minutes & thirty seconds (11:30) into the video.
This should give you a good idea of how to precision balance small wheels.

Hello there Mike
Thanks for the response.
Was afraid we'll go that route 'cos most Surface Grinder Wheels are generally small in Diameter in comparison to our 14" x 2" and 12" x 2" width. And our Belt Grinders generally won't require that type of accuracy or running Speed either.  Pic shows some of our Wheels, with that massive one balanced  already !!
Anyway,  we had a look see at Marc's Video, he does a fantastic job of explaining things thoroughly from all we have seen, and like everything else, one never stops learning.
Now we need to construct that Jig to spin the wheels on.
Thanks all the same.  'Twas kind of U to reply.

Hello Gents
Seeing as we were not going to fork out over Six Grand plus, and considering we had available material which required some extra machining, we eventually decided that this was a do-able project.
The attached pics speak for themselves.
This is nothing too fancy-wancy, neither too laa-dee-daa nor anyway bling-bling, but we are sure it will get our job done, and resolve our problem.
Thanks to all the kind Folks who endeavoured to assist
