looks like 1/4" NPT pipe thread

Way to small to be a 1/4NPT. Might even be too big for 1/4BSP but John would know better than I. I might have thought G-1/8.

1/4 inch pipe is 13.5 MM

not because I know the metric system, I had the loc-line out last week.
