R 8 adapter

Hi

Lads
I was given this boring head today
Any ideas on a R8 spindle / mandrel for it
I can always make one
The centre hole is 40 mill

John, I'd be tempted to buy one of the many R8 threaded adaptors available for boring heads, and just make a plate with the appropriate PCD holes drilled in it

I have a spare R8 to a Jacobs taper I will modify that

I hope it's one of the beefier Jacobs tapers then - that looks to be quite a chunky head !

I will turn off the taper then ether thread it & screw it in.
Or press fit and weld .
