More welding questions.
The end cap thickness is 3mm the same thickness as the tank. Now what if I used 6mm or 10mm thick steel for the end caps would that be a bad idea.  DaveH

Nop, just weld hotter and direct the arc toward the heavier section.
Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.

At the moment I'm finishing off the base for the pusher, I'd already started thinking the 25mm thick steel would have been here last week.
Just 3 bits and a few holes for the nuts and bolts to hold it together. I'll finish the base first then I'll start welding again.   DaveH

The base part more or less finished, still have to clean it up a little. Still waiting for the 25mm stuff.

Does seem to be taking a long time, all this stop and start plus losing bits doesn't help.
