Dual flight controls for simulator

You can get narrower lines on your engraving if you use an actual engraving bit. They are 60º cone shaped bits with a single cutting edge and you can control the width via a flat on the tip. I used to do a lot of CNC engraving in instrument panels and such.

Semi-off topic question. Do you have a pilot's certificate?

Eventually all the parts will be wired up to usb joystick encoder type boards and will be used with Microsoft flight simulator. I have been building controls and other bits for a few years but this time around I have all the tools and most of the skills to do it right.

No pilots license but I do work in the aviation business. I'm an Air Attack Officer with the provincial Airtanker program here in British Columbia. I spend the summer flying in TC690's, Caravans and a Citation jet, directing fire fighting operations. Had I known at 18 what I know now, I would have become a pilot but this is a great job so I can't complain. I have built a training simulator at work for training new AAO candidates, I've attached a picture of that sim.

How do you run multiple screens with a flight simulator? Do you need to have multiple simulators synched together?

Thanks Dave, my home sim is going to be much more advanced as far as flight controls and knobs and levers to play with. The sim in the photo runs in 6 computers. 3 high end machines for the visuals and 3 basic computers to display the gauges. There is software available to allow you to network all the computers to the main flight sim computer.
