That's exactly the way I've been doing it for 30+ years, and I certainly agree about the climb milling thing. That's a LOT easier and safer now that I've got a machine with ball screws.

Good video agin Tom. Funny the same principals apply to cabinet work. I set the shaper up the same way, only upside down.
Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.

Good point Greg, I did the same thing with wood long before I ever did it with metal. I think good setup techniques are the same regardless of what field you are working in.
