The mill is single phase
The riser block was made by me
It has made a massiv differance to the machine

John,

I would love to fit a riser to my 836, to give me a little more throat when I use my dividing head in the upright position, but my ceiling is only just above the motor top. In fact, I have to tilt the head to nearly level just to get the drawbar out.

It was on the cards for me to buy one of those 626's, until someone offered to put some extra cash to what I had, to purchase the next sized mill up. They really are a good all round machine for the price.

Nice stand you've made for your mill. I used those same leveling feet for my lathe. They work very well. For my mill, I made my own using hockey pucks and carriage bolts.

The lathe is also from Enco, purchased in Feb. I had the paint color matched for both pieces of equipment and painted them myself. The mill stand is 2x2x.120" tubing with 1/4" plate for the top and shelf's. It weighs 300lbs which makes the mill very stable with the wider footprint. I modified the lathe stand to beef it up and used the same feet. I will post up pictures on each build in the welding section.
