I get three hours a day in the shop, one in the morning and to late in the afternoon. Flu is almost gone.
OK, this morning I made the gib blank from an old brass gear. The adjuster blank is also done. Needs to be drilled and tapped 6-40. "Billy G"

It will do a special operation inside my radial engine crankcases Ed. I'm hoping to save about 20 hrs. work.

Bill, are you making a boring head or a pocket watch?
I love seeing the intricate little parts that folks such as yourself can produce at home, and fit them together into a precision assembly. Awesome skills there.

If this works out Highpower, I'm going to make a smaller one. The diameter will be only 1 inch. This one is 1.5 inches.

So is this one just to "test the waters" or do you actually need the two different sizes for different operations? I can only guess that you are doing a grooving/relief operation at the bottom of a bore? I'm curious about this special operation. If it's going to save you 20 hours of work, it's got to be a doozie!
