Chuck got the deal of the century there, and a seller who either loved him dearly or knew absolutely nothing about the item.
Definitely a YOU SUCK award!

Chuck - I'll give you $20 for it right now
I don't want to imagine what one of those would go for here and I too believe you are well worth of a award. Well done!

I've used the same brown&sharp dti for 28 years. I gave my last word away years ago, i hated it. When a machinist buddy of mine retired 4 years ago he gave me his brown&sharp. Its still in the plastic bag, in 35 years he never used it. It is my spare and i hope i never have to take it out of the plastic.

I seem to have missed this thread the first time around, so I'll jump on this time.
My daily go to indicator is an Interapid because they are bulletproof (I actually launched one across the shop and it survived), but on special occasions I'll drag out my old Lufkin V-80. The good news is it's long, slender and graceful, the bad news is it's long slender and graceful. I literally wore the first one out and recently picked up a replacement on eBay that I am rationing. I think my chances of finding another are pretty slim. Tom |
