I hear you O scribes , I have been pushing on in between other jobs.
The dial posts are fitted to the front plate.
The dial feet are dropped into the holes in the posts.
And the hour wheel is raised with a spacer so it is just above the level of the dial feet.
A small amount of epoxy is put on the dial feet, and the dial is aligned with the hour wheel and frame.
With a pair of hands it might just look like a clock.
