After a few days when its just been to cold to stand in the shop its back to making chips.
Now having got the indexing sorted and the cutter proven. its on with the 32 tooth reverse hour wheel.
Using the 80 tooth change wheel to index the mandrel. two adjacent teeth are cut, until the curves at the tip just touch. The vertical slide is then locked, and the remaining teeth cut at full depth.

   

   

   

Very happy with the result.

Cold? In Sicily? You have to realize Brian, the many of us are from the Midwest and Canada and your weather this time of year seems downright balmy. Sweat
