That's a good tool. I have one that I bought as a replacement to the 12 year old one I gave to my dad about 6 year ago. My "new" one is now in worse (cosmetic) condition than the one I gave him. And I gave it to him because the film covering the inductive (??) scale bits had started peeling up after such rough use in oily coolant environments. The tools are virtually indestructible.
I have never bought from msi-viking and had never heard of them. Here's one from the people I've been buying some tools from, General Tool of Attleboro MA.

Compare the total cost of the tool from both sources, including shipping. If you like the General Tool option, could you have it shipped to Bill in CT? I'd happily have it sent here, but selling and shipping within Massachusetts means they'd hit you with 6.25% state sales tax. That wouldn't apply in Connecticut.
