Thanks, a soaking with Spray 9 and the pressure washer did it wonders, could do with another go after bleeding and playing with the injectors though.
I think a spring loaded tensioner is more common on bikes and snowmobiles where the slack side goes into tension when decelerating. With this arrangement there should never be any back load so I went with a simple threaded adjustment. Its all experimental, we'll see how it goes.
