Does your drill chuck have a straight shank that goes into the collet or does it have an R8 one?
The mill came with the this chuck and a collet and I already had a MT2 chuck. But to answer your question, the collet has a straight shank and the chuck fits onto the shank. Here's some pics of both chucks.
