Started on the plate that mounts the saw bar to the mandrel.
Who says this is a 7 x 12 saw.

Noticed it was a little hard cutting and quite hard to face. Used a carbide tipped bit in the fly cutter..
Went to drill it today, a HSS bit only scratches it.
Mystery metal from inventory. Looks like it would make a good wear plate just not meant for a saw.
