You are right Darren, not all lathes accommodate this technique. I also heard from someone who is left handed and that was too awkward to be done safely. There are definitely exceptions to every rule and at some point you just have to fall back on common sense. Unfortunately common sense seems to be a rare commodity these days, which is why I decided to start making these videos.
