We use anti-fatigue mats in our shop as well. They really do make a big difference and everyone loves them.
We use them at the machines.........

and our tooling and deburring benches. Basically......if you have to stand there.......I have a mat for it!

Tom, the pricing you got them for is very good, if they are the .500" thick mats.
I got mine from McMaster Carr. The size you mentioned 24" x 36" are only $17.50 but add in shipping and you're coming out ahead with home depot.......provided it's not a whole day trip away.
Oh....another added benefit of having them in the shop.......someone drops a part on the mat.....it's not scrap!!
