Reasonably priced machine mats - TomG - 10-08-2012

If any of you have been looking for reasonably priced anti-fatigue floor mats, I found some at the local Home Depot. They are 24" x 36" with a diamond pattern and tapered edges, for $19.87. They are much more comfortable to stand on than my old worn out rubber ones and they weren't $60 like most of the ones I've seen.

+1 on the mats. I got two of them a couple of weeks ago. You might even find them cheaper: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202538015/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=floor+mat&storeId=10051&superSkuId=203678086#.UHLvO66Dl8E

We use anti-fatigue mats in our shop as well. They really do make a big difference and everyone loves them.

We use them at the machines.........

At the shipping bench..........

and our tooling and deburring benches. Basically......if you have to stand there.......I have a mat for it!

Tom, the pricing you got them for is very good, if they are the .500" thick mats.

I got mine from McMaster Carr. The size you mentioned 24" x 36" are only $17.50 but add in shipping and you're coming out ahead with home depot.......provided it's not a whole day trip away. Big Grin

Oh....another added benefit of having them in the shop.......someone drops a part on the mat.....it's not scrap!!

Best Regards,
Russ

Some more info on those mats. Home Depot also has those mats in 24 x 48 and 24 x 72.

The wife bought atleast 24" or better by 15 or so feet grey diamond plate style, seems
like some kind of rubber foam mix sections interlock real nice on the feet. Think she

The only place in my shop I need those mats would be in front of the coffee machine. It seems that is the only place where people actually stand for long periods of time.

Maybe you need to buy more coffee machines and put them in front of the machines. Big Grin
