It has to Ed. The factory didn't offer it as an option because they said it wouldn't fit. 468 Rotfl

I know it certainly sounds better than the factory installed (Enco) table feed on the mill. Same brand and style, but the table feed whines and warbles quite a bit. The Z-feed is smooth and quiet - which tells me I need to remove the table feed now and see what is going on.

This was my first (and only) mill so I assumed the noise from the table feed was normal. Apparently not.... Bash

Made some spacers for work. These will be used to space some heat sink blocks up off of an enclosure.

It never ceases to amaze me what we won't buy because we can make them. Very nice Ed.

Bill,

Thanks for the complement.

These aren't available in the length and diameter I need for the project and it was quicker for me to make them then to go through all of the paperwork to order them if they were available.

Snowing here too, I'm almost surprised, since I bought a snowmobile a couple of weeks ago all its done is melt.
Started cleaning out the cabinet shop today, the scrap wood can go in the boiler but have bushels of sawdust and shavings to contend with now. Need to build a sawdust burner of some sort. Maybe a steel barrel with air injected into the bottom to get it roaring. Wouldn't be safe in the summer but most of my cabinet shop time seems to be in the winter.
Free advice is worth exactly what you payed for it.
