I came across this channel on YouTube that is a good source of information on the design of various machining fixtures and accessories. It's all in Russian, but a picture is worth a thousand words (and a video is even better). One that caught my eye was a radius attachment for a small lathe. There was nothing radically different about it, but it was very well designed.
