ENCO is going away...

If there is anything at ENCO that has been on your want list, it looks like you have 1 year left to get it. As of August 2017 all products will be sold at full MSC retail prices. It was fun while it lasted.... Blink

You're off by a year Willie.

This sucks! Good thing I have most of what I need. McMaster will get most of my business when this happens.

Now Ed.... You know there is ALWAYS fine print! Big Grin

On a lot of items it won't mean much. Some things though made a BIG difference for me. Like the Royal live center I bought from Enco for $300 LESS than what MSC wanted for the very same tool. Gonna miss those 30% off codes... Bawling

Well fortunately there will still be Travers Tool for the mid-range and Shars for the cheap stuff. Actually a lot of Shars is not too bad, especially for imported tools.

Been looking at ENCO equipment for some time, as long as I have messed with metal. For me it never seemed to be that big of a deal, by the time you get to the shipping the price was jacked.

MSC has local distributors here in Atlanta, that is a game changer. Did I mention that ENCO web site totally sucked, another huge turn off.

I see the change as a plus
Magazines have issues, everything else has problems

It works now. Must have been a hiccup last night.

MSC is the destroyer of all good industrial supply houses. They did the same thing with J&L here in Detroit. Took a nice well run family business and doubled the prices. I had an account with J&L, but never bought another thing from them once MSC took over.

I remember that. I also had an account with J&L. I was first getting into metalworking back then. They did the same thing with Enco when Enco had stores all over the US.
