I started on this pattern yesterday for the Hi Lo shifter in the Shaper, the original was broken off and all I have is the boss that has the shaft hole in it, plus the shafts bent but I have a new one made already.
so Pictures I didn't start taking any till after I had most of the wood work down.
the pattern all glued up and waiting on sanding.
this picture shows a goof up on my part that wouldn't work in a pattern that had to make a lot of parts the handle should of been set deeper into the boss so a screw could of been put in, actually a match plate should of been made.
Ed asked the other day about the special pattern paint I use, so I included a picture of the can.
this is the first coat of paint, I will sand it down and do some touch up work around the joint then finish paint it.
supervisors always pushing me to get more done
