Todays Project - What did you do today?

Making sash for glass cabinet windows. This is the cutter arrangement on the shaper to form the cope that interlocks into the moulding around the pains

Those big coping bits are sure scary to run. Yikes

Pd off with sitting around with Bronchitis.
So I found a simple job to keep me occupied.
The boat needed a new thumb screw to lock the steering wheel when at anchor.
So first a 3/8 x 16 thread.

A swift knurl.

Part off.

Done.

Ah feel better already.

Update on the cabinets. Have all the upper doors assembled and the first set hung. The end is in sight, but next week is cut firewood week, wish I had the processor built.

One of the nicest times of year, get in the bush and cut/split/and pile firewood,, money in the bank!!
A great feeling of security to stand back after and look at the woodshed full, for the comming winter.

Good feeling looking at it done alright, but the sore back and arms while Im getting back in shape after a soft winter in the shop isn't so nice. Was slow drying up this year, looks like I'll be working with black flies, Had it all done this time last year.

Greg, i hear ya about being sore, but a nice feeling just the same.
What i did a couple of times if the spring was late comming, and would end up cutting in fly season, is i would get up early, get into the bush, cut and split untill only 9:00am, then quit.
That worked great for me, no bugs untill around 8:45- 9:00am .
(By that time i was ready for a BIG breakfast!!) Lol

Sounds like a good plan BUT I don't do mornings. The early bird may get the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Flies are a small price to pay for a good morning in bed.
