Hi Chaps

I have decided just to scrap the lathe , I need the twin speed motor out of it for my Aciera F3 mill . I will keep the chucks and face plate as they may  come in handy , the taper turning attachment will go on ebay along with my  shaper ,mill drill ,boxford lathe ,surface grinder ,die filler, ped drill,ml8 wood lathe ,lorch lathe and the foundry setup in the new year .  Drinks

I had fun making the parts and using the lathe Dave  Smile

It owes me nothing and I learned a bit from doing the repairs , the motor will live on lol

Welcome to the forum Duane.

I am afraid there is not much chance of seeing the original pictures here again. This thread is 5 years old and Rob hasn't posted here for a few years now. He's not a registered member anymore.

Sadly Rob passed away a couple of years ago.

I think he had issues with people’s comments as he deleted his pictures on several forums. A shame as he produced some magnificent work.

RE: Churchill CUB Lathe - Highpower - 11-15-2020

I'm sorry to hear that Andrew, I did not know. Rob did indeed do some impressive work. A large number of people (myself included) began deleting their photos from photobucket when they decided it would be a good idea to start charging people an outrageous fee for hosting photos on their site, after many years of being a free service.

Fortunately with the upgraded software the forum uses now people can upload their photos directly into their own posts as an attachment. Much more convent than having to link to an off site hosting server.
